What is Breast Reduction Like?
During a breast reduction, Dr. Leong will use either an “anchor” or “lollipop” incision to access the breast tissue. She will remove excess skin and relocate sagging tissue and she will also resize and reposition the areola as needed to achieve an attractive, symmetrical, natural-looking breast shape. Dr. Leong will perform the procedure under general anesthesia to ensure your comfort during surgery.
What is Recovery Like From Breast Reduction?
After recovering, you can go home, but you will need someone to transport you. You will wear a special supportive bra while your incisions heal. It will take about 3 months before your breasts settle into their final position and the swelling goes away. Dr. Leong will discharge you with instructions on caring for your incisions and protecting your breasts while they heal.
Am I a Good Candidate for Breast Reduction?
