What is MyEllevate®?
For those not ready for a neck lift but who have either exhausted the nonsurgical options available or want more immediate and lasting results, MyEllevate® offers an alternative that achieves those goals with almost none of the recovery time of a neck lift. This procedure may sound similar to a thread lift but is placed deeper with a permanent suture that lasts longer and provides more dramatic results.
MyEllevate® uses an ICLED® light-guided suture system that lets the surgeon place a network of support structures between the skin and muscle. This support lattice immediately lifts and provides shape to the neck and jaw, firming and tightening the skin. Unlike threads that dissolve quickly, the sutures can last for many years to maintain your excellent results.

What is MyEllevate® Like?
This minimally invasive procedure takes about an hour and uses only three small incisions, one under the chin and two at the base of the earlobes. MyEllevate® can be performed under local anesthesia or IV sedation by a skilled surgeon like Dr. Karen Leong, who can visualize the best location and position of the sutures to provide maximum results.
During the procedure, Dr. Leong will use a lighted probe and the ICLED® suture system to visualize and place the sutures underneath the skin. As these sutures are woven together, they provide a support network that lifts the neck and contours the jaw. Placing these sutures to give the best possible results requires Dr. Leong’s combination of artistry and experience.
Sutures placed will cross from one side of the jaw to the other, lifting and tightening the neck and jaw area and providing contouring with a slimmer appearance. Many providers also combine this treatment with procedures like neck liposuction, skin-rejuvenating treatments such as RF microneedling, or injectable treatments like Kybella®. While neck liposuction and Kybella® can remove excess fat from under the chin and jaw to make the results even more dramatic, skin-rejuvenating treatments can leave the skin looking firmer and tighter overall and improve the texture and color and other signs of aging.
Recovery and Results After MyEllevate®
Recovery from MyEllevate® takes two to three days, during which you may see some bruising and feel some minor discomfort. You can resume your usual activities within a few days of treatment, following Dr. Leong’s instructions. Unlike a facelift or neck lift that can involve extensive bruising, swelling, and recovery time, MyEllevate® presents an option to achieve great results with minimal restrictions or recovery time.
